THQ Nordic has announced a brand new South Park game which is coming to Switch in 2024. South Park: Snow Day! is a 3D co-op title which sees Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny team up to celebrate "the Turns out the South Park guys are having another go with a game, only this one will be an RPG. I would usually shrug this off as just another game based on a show/movie looking for a quick buck, but it says that the creators are personally overseeing the writing and development so it got me interested. When they say 3D, they're probably meaning you can move on different axis like Stick of Truth and FBH. Both South Park games have so far followed the same structure: Two factions fight in a game the kids of South Park are playing, the New Kid starts off on Cartman's faction, then secretly joins the other faction until the two join forces for whatever reason. The New Kid may very well be tired of this treatment and instead decide to play both sides. Microsoft acquiring Obsidian as they work on Avowed, Outer Worlds DLC, and more, has the likelihood of a new South Park game from them shrinking. With the continued success of the South Park franchise and the creators Trey Parker's and Matt Stone's love of gaming, an eventual sequel to South Park: The Fractured But Whole would seem likely. There is rumors going around now that Trey Parker and Matt Stone are finally going to make a new game of South Park and I know I'm not the only one… You know, the joyous day of the year where there’s just too much white stuff on the ground to go to school. It’s being developed by South Park Digital Studios and Question Games, and published They aren't working with a huge publisher (Ubisoft) or AA studio like Obsidian. Question is a very small indie dev team. I think its more likely to be another mobile game without Ubisoft like Phone Destroyer (that is published by Ubi and had one of its studios develop it) plus we know its going to be a multiplayer focused game. It’s all very preliminary, but it does indicate that there’s a lot to look for in the game once again, especially for South Park fans. It also stands as another example of something the show c3D4rT.
