original problem was a no start. Then a non deutz diesel mechanic tried to get it running. He pulled out all the injector pumps and had them all serviced - he said one was stuck. After he reinstalled them he placed the injector pump pins in the B slot-(see photo) and the engine started but revved very highly and we had a runaway situation.

1209 posts · Joined 2018. #4 · Sep 20, 2021. I Imagine the fit of the injectors is a close fit, drilling would likely mess up the hole. Worst case (starting to break into pieces) pull the head and press out from the other side. I have never done this before, just looked at the service manual.
Remove Sprinter Injectors with tools you already own. Stuck sprinter injector removal do it yourself.
Use a battery maintainer. Wire a battery maintainer in series with the fuel injector and a battery, (the maintainer wont turn on unless there is some voltage). The maintainer will put out a 60Hz pulse with a 50% duty cycle, this fires the injector rapidly. Also the maintainer shouldn't put out more than 2 amps.
